Posh Pics was founded by Georgia Littlejohn and Pam Snow, two sisters in Plano, Texas. They were asked to join artistic energies in 2008 and design over-the-top, hand-crafted picture frames. Pam loves to take candid pictures of her kids and family members. It made sense to design frames that showed off her loved ones. Pam adds, "I smile and feel happy when I pop in the picture because a flood of memories return to that day".
Their success is not only due to their creative style and quality product but also to their ability to fulfill custom orders. A customer might see a frame painted in light pink and brown and would prefer dark pink and brown. Or maybe a bow and more swarovskis need to be added. Who knows, their request for a custom frame could end up in their catalog. "There's so many frame choices that we try to make the experience fun and memorable for the buyer", comments Georgia.
The company uses nothing but quality ingredients to produce your picture frame. Benjamin Moore is the paint choice and the colors are organic. In fact, some of the same Benjamin Moore colors are those used on Pottery Barn products. All the bling that you see on the frames are genuine Swarovski crystals, not Australian crystals, and individually applied. The bows are often of silk, grosgrain, organza, velvet, burlap and such. The ribbon ranges in width from 1" to 3.5". It takes up to 1.5 yards to make each bow.
The owners try to add as much creativity to the frame and keep the price point manageable. The process is complex, often using three paint colors, distressing, crackling and removing some of the paint surface. The combination of rustic with crystals and metal pieces is unbeatable.
